David came to us with a site in need of some serious repairs.
He liked the basic look of his site, but hated to update it because
it always seemed to break when he added new content. It was also poorly
made using FrontPage and was very messy if not unreadable if you used any
other browser besides Internet Explorer.
We took David's site and revamped it so that his site would be easier
to maintain and update.
Here's what we did for him:
Added a Cascading Style Sheet (CSS2)
- This gives the entire site a uniform look
Added a centralized JavaScript (JS) backend
- This lets the navigation and site
formatting be updated from one file
Recreated all navigation images
- His old images didn't line up correctly,
so they appeared to jump around when you moved your mouse over
them
Recreated all content pages to use the CSS2 and JS and cleaned up
the HTML code
- Now his site will look the same using any
of the popular browsers
This is an archive for various Role-Playing Game (RPG) systems that
catch our interest.
It currently contains the re-vamped content donated from the CyberPunk websites The Desert Of Real, Agamemnon's CyberPunk 2020 Archive, Paul Tobia CyberPunk Archive and also some new content designed by the gamers here at The WyldeSide.
We created a few custom JavaScripts (JS) to list the current CyberWare and also the Class Roles, with abilities and for some descriptions.
We maintain this site for the newsgroup alt.fairs.renaissance commonly referred to as AFR.
We created 2 custom Perl Databases for this site, one for Renaissance related links and the other lists garb patterns and user comments about those patterns.
This site contains multiple image galleries from our visits to the various Renaissance Faires throughout North America.
We created a customized gallery for this site that provides interactive navigation (by gallery, by page of 12 thumbnails and by each full sized images) and descriptions/comments
